A quick rundown of how to pull tickets before the first football game
By Matt Koper

Dollins said students are a vital part of the gameday experience and it’s important to have them representing the 12th Man in some of the best seats possible for students.

“It’s unique here at Texas A&M — we’ve set aside some of the very best seats in the stadium,” Dollins said. “Students occupy the majority of the east deck or the east side of the stadium — except for some seats directly behind the visiting team and some seats assigned to some faculty and staff, otherwise students have some of the best inventory I think in the country.”

A student can pull up to 10 tickets but needs a few things: A student ID for whoever is pulling the tickets for the group, a sports pass for every ticket you want and at least half of the sports passes need to match the classification on the day you pull tickets. For example, a junior could pull 10 tickets on Tuesday with five junior sports passes and five freshmen sport passes.

For more than 10 tickets, group pull is done on Monday and Tuesday regardless of classification at the designated window. If you utilize group pull, you will be assigned seats in the 3rd deck on a first-come-first-served basis.

Students are allowed to choose where their seats are at the game with the option of first deck, second deck, third deck and the south end zone based on availability and number of tickets pulled.

If they want to invite guests to the game, students have the option to purchase a guest ticket at full price or convert their sports pass into a guest label at half of the cost.

Before Texas A&M students can stand together as the 12th Man in Kyle Field, they each need to get tickets to the game, which is done through a process known as ticket pull.

Depending on when students enroll at A&M, they register during their assigned time for a sports pass online at the 12th Man Foundation with several options available. The full 12th Man Pass includes tickets to all home football games, while the other two sports pass options are for four home games.

Additionally, any sports pass option gets students into all other ticketed sporting events on a first-come-first-served basis — including softball, baseball, volleyball, track, soccer, men’s and women’s basketball and tennis.

Once students have a sports pass, ticket pull is broken by classification and other various factors.

On the week of a home game, graduate students and seniors get the first chance to pull tickets on Monday, followed by juniors on Tuesday, sophomores on Wednesday and freshmen on Thursday. If you missed your pull date or don’t have a sports pass, Friday is open to all classifications and any student with an ID to get tickets if they’re still available.

The ticket office is located outside on the north side of Kyle Field and students can pull tickets on their assigned day from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.

Carole Dollins, senior vice president of ticketing, recommends using the 12th Man Foundation’s website and the student ticket brochure found there as resources to help familiarize new students with ticket
